Why I Don’t Regularly Share Before and After Photos Online
Spend a few minutes looking at cosmetic injectors on social media and you’ll quickly notice one thing: before and after photos are everywhere.
For many clinics, these images are a major part of their marketing. They can be a useful way to showcase treatment results and help potential clients understand what may be possible.
So why don’t I regularly share them?
There Is More to a Result Than a Photograph
I’ve never felt completely comfortable building a business around before and after photos.
While they can be helpful, they only show a small part of the story. They don’t tell you about the consultation, the reasons someone sought treatment, or the conversations we had about what would help them feel more confident.
Before and after photos can also fuel the idea that we should constantly be changing, improving, or comparing our appearance to someone else’s.
Social media already gives us plenty of opportunities to compare ourselves to other people. Personally, I’ve never wanted my marketing to add to that.
My focus is helping people feel more confident in their own skin, not creating unrealistic expectations or encouraging comparisons between one person’s results and another’s.
I would much rather sit down with someone, understand their concerns, and talk through their options than have them compare themselves to a gallery of other people’s faces online.
The Best Results Often Look Like Nothing Has Been Done
Many of the people who visit me for anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, microneedling, and skin peels aren’t looking for dramatic change.
They simply want to look fresher, more rested, or more confident in their skin.
Often the best compliment my clients receive is not “Have you had work done?” but “You look well.”
Natural-looking results don’t always make the most dramatic before and after photographs, but they are often the outcomes my clients value most.
I Can Still Show You Real Results
This doesn’t mean I have no before and after photos.
In fact, I have a large collection of treatment photographs that I use during consultations.
If you’re considering treatment, I’m happy to show you examples that are relevant to your concerns and goals.
The difference is that these photographs are shared privately rather than posted publicly online.
This allows me to show genuine treatment results in the right context, while still respecting the privacy of the people who trusted me with their care.
A Personal Approach to Cosmetic Treatments
Whether you’re interested in anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, microneedling, or skin peels, my focus is always on understanding your goals and creating a treatment plan that feels right for you.
Social media can be helpful, but it should never replace a personalised consultation and professional advice.
Every face is different. Every person has different concerns, goals, and reasons for seeking treatment. What works beautifully for one client may not be the right approach for someone else.
Privacy Still Matters
Another reason I choose not to regularly post client results online is simple: I believe privacy matters.
Many of my clients appreciate the fact that their treatment journey remains private, and I take that responsibility seriously.
